World Interiors Day (WID)

Considering the basic inputs of today and the future, bringing together material and technology systems the profession of interior architecture designs modern lifestyles in order to address the needs of the space.  Our profession shapes human life by touching every single aspect of it.

COVID-19 situation which we are experiencing nowadays,  stressed the importance of our profession once more, through isolating ourselves, and redesigning the living spaces in accordance with our needs. In this period, our houses acted as shelters for our private lives as usual. Especially, for continuing with our daily routine we moved our working environment into our houses to create our respective comfort zones to follow up our work through computers.

While we are trying to adapt this “special" situation, World Interiors Day (WID) event was organized under the heading of “nexus interior" by the ownership of IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers) this year. Due to these circumstances, EMU, Department of Interior Architecture was inspired by “nexus interiors". Under the PODCAST series of Faculty of Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sezin Tanrıover, 2020 administrative board member, was invited to give general information on IFI on our web site. By means of this podcast speech, we intend to bring this event into your private working environment.

On this occasion, we would like to congratulate World Interiors Day (WID) of our valued colleagues and students who put their hearts into this profession.

Besides that, EMU, Department of Interior Architecture which is still continuing with the online courses, would like to share the selfies which were taken and shared in front of our computers with the students and the lecturers to celebrate the World Interiors Day (WID).
